On the ‘The Balanced Voice’ podcast, host Rania Mankarious asked her guest Matthew McConaughey about politics and if he would consider participating in the same. To this surprisingly, The Gentleman lead star replied that he is truly considering this. “I’m looking into now again, what is my leadership role? Because I do think I have some things to teach and share, and what is my role? What’s my category in my next chapter of life that I’m going into?” If Matthew in his words truly considers the governor aspect, he will probably run against the current Texan governor, Greg Abbott who will be contesting for reelection the next year. In A Previous Interview

Matthew in one of his podcast interviews last year in the month of November, expressed, “Right now, I don’t get politics. Politics seems to be a broken business. Politics needs to redefine its purpose.” His interests were surely different from what they are at present. This conversation took place on talk radio, The Hugh Hewitt Show with Hugh Hewitt as the host. Matthew was questioned back then if he would consider politics as his interest. To which he responded, “It would be up to the people more than it would be on me.”According to him, politics was a “broken business” and he would look into it when “redefines its purpose”.
