Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse – April 30th, 2021

Creed 3 – November 23, 2022

The third Installment into the Creed franchise continues the story of Adonis Creed. It is releasing in theatres next year on November 23, 2022. This time, apart from starring in the film, Michael B. Jordan also serves as the director of the film. Tessa Thompson will be returning to join him in the film as his girlfriend Bianca. Apart from both of them, Sylvester Stallone will be the one not returning for the film as he is focusing on another Rocky spin-off project. Creed continues the story after the events of the Rocky franchise. This time around with Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed who decides to train as a boxer under Rocky Balboa, his father’s old friend and rival. However, there is no plot. We are expecting it to continue where Creed 2 left off with a family of Creed moving to Los Angeles, California.

The Thomas Crown Affair

Micahel B. Jordan joins hands with The Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo. They will be producing The Thomas Crown Affair. A remake of a story told twice in the past. First, in the 1969 film Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. Then in 1999 starring Pierce Brosnan. Originally, The Thomas Crown Affair follows the story of Thomas Crown, who is fed up with his luxurious life. Hoping for an adventure, he starts stealing precious artworks until an investigator comes across him looking to take him down.

A Journal For Jordan

A Denzel Washington directorial based on the memoir A Journal For Jordan by Dana Canedy. The movie stars Michael B. Jordan, Tamara Tunie, and Robert Wisdom as the leads. A Journal For Jordan will tell the story of a soldier who wrote a journal every day. Learning new things and life lessons in order to give them to his newborn son Jordan. Michael B. Jordan also serves as a  producer for the film along with Denzel Washington, Todd Black, Steve Tisch, Aaron L. Gilbert, Jason Blumenthal.

Wrong Answer

Michael B. Jordan joins hands with Ryan Coogler for another project in the form of the Wrong Answer. The film is based on the 2006 standardized testing scandal in Atlanta covered by New Yorker in 2014. It will follow a math teacher altering the scores of his students in an attempt to get funds for his school. There is no additional information on the release date and cast of the film as of yet.

Methuselah

A Danny Boyle directorial coming from Warner Bros. As of now, there are not many details on the release date or plot, or cast of the film. But yes, all we know is that apart from starring in the film, Jordan is also serving as a producer. Initially, Warner Bros. was going with the concept of introducing a Biblical story of a man living for 969 years. But the plans were later scrapped, and no new information about the movie has been announced yet.

Untitled David O. Russell Project

Another project with not much information despite being a David O. Russell directorial, a simple premise, and a huge ensemble cast. The film is set to follow the story of a doctor and a lawyer forming an unlikely relationship. Probably this is just one part of the story as we are looking at the star cast, which is huge, in fact. Apart from Michael B. Jordan, the movie includes Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek, Zoe Saldana, Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro Nivola and Leland Orser. Looking at the star cast, what is it? An Oscar documentary because it’s huge. Probably Russell has something out of the box in his mind, thus grabbing every star he knows. We will see until more details are in the air.

Static Shock

DC is taking a step forward by bringing Jordan for themselves for a venture of Static Shock. But Jordan will only serve as producer for the film through his Outlier Society production company. Apart from this, the writer, director, or cast members aren’t revealed as of now yet. Originally, Static Shock is a fictional DC superhero going by the real name of Virgil Ovid Hawkins. The electrically charged superhero got his powers from an incident that exposed him to a radioactive chemical. The character of Static appeared first with his comic series in 1993 during the Modern Age of Comic Books. Eventually, the character also received his own series as a part of DC’s Orignal Animated Univers titled Static Shock in 2000. The show crossed over with Justice League The Animated Series. Later the character also appeared on Young Justice.

Blood Brothers

Another film coming from Jordan and his production house Outlier Society adapting Blood Brothers. A vampire comic book from Dark Horse. According to the comics, the story of Blood Brothers follows Nick and Tree, who have been vampire-buddies for century smoking opium with Genghis Khan or playing in a death metal band. Suddenly, they find themselves splitting up on the arrival of a villain looking for an apocalypse and ending humanity once and for all.

Upcoming TV Shows Of Michael B. Jordan

What If…? (2021) Marvel Cinematic Universe is embracing the OTT era again with a number of web shows on Disney Plus. This also includes What If…?, which will see Michael B. Jordan reprising his role of Killmonger in one of the episodes. As of now, there is no official release date for the series. Marvel’s What If…? is set to revisit certain major events in Marvel Cinematic Universe and retell the story from tweaking changes to those events. 61st Street (2021)

Another production coming from Jordan and his production house, Outlier Society, is a courtroom drama 61st Street.  The series is set to star Tosin Cole, Aunjanue Ellis, Bentley Green, and Mark O’Brien in the lead roles. The story tells the story of young Moses Johnson, who is dragged into the infamously corrupt Chicago criminal justice system. Thus, threatening his promising athletic career.
